John Mayer announces North American tour

Grammy-winning musician John Mayer has announced a solo North American tour in early 2023 promoting his latest album 'Sob Rock'. The 19-city campaign takes place in March/April visiting U.S. markets like New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago and Inglewood. Canadian shows are planned for Toronto and Vancouver. Joining the tour on select dates will be special guests Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin. Later in the year, he'll be hitting the road with Dead & Company for the final time alongside Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended into the fall with support from JP Saxe hitting cities like New York, Philadelphia, Tampa, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco and Inglewood.

Mayer released his eighth studio album 'Sob Rock' on July 16th, 2021 via Columbia Records. The new album follows up 2017's 'The Search for Everything' which reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. Back in 2022, the singer-songwriter launched his Sob Rock Tour across North America with support from Alexander 23 and YEBBA. Since beginning his career in 1998, Mayer has received a total of 7 Grammy Awards from 19 nominations while selling more than 20 million albums worldwide.
