Metallica announce 'M72 World Tour'

Heavy metal icons Metallica have announced a gigantic world tour beginning in 2023 promoting their next album '72 Seasons'. The North American portion of their M72 World Tour kicks off August 4th in East Rutherford and extends into 2024 making additional U.S. stops in Arlington, Inglewood, Glendale, St. Louis, Detroit, Foxborough, Chicago, Minneapolis and Seattle. Canadian dates are set for Montreal and Edmonton. The first night of each city will be joined by special guests Pantera and Mammoth WVH while the second night will be featuring Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills.

Metallica will be releasing their 12th studio album '72 Seasons' on April 14th, 2023 via their own Blackened Recordings vanity label. The new album follows up 2016's 'Hardwired... to Self-Destruct' which reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards. The same year, the band embarked on their WorldWired Tour which stretched into 2019 and was joined by tons of special guests including Cage the Elephant, Babymetal, Lang Lang, Iggy Pop, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Gojira, Kvelertak, Jim Breuer, Ghost and Slipknot.
