Legendary rock band Rush have announced a 40th anniversary tour that will spread across North America in mid-2015. Their R40 LIVE Tour will be the band's 21st trek and most likely their final major tour of this magnitude. Kicking off in Tulsa on May 8th, the tour will visit over 30 cities across the United States and Canada including Dallas, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Montreal and their hometown of Toronto for back-to-back shows. The band will feature energetic live shows that fans come to expect as they celebrate four memorable decades of music.
Since their self-titled debut album was released in 1976, the band has released a total of 19 studio albums, 10 live albums, 10 compilation albums and 78 singles. They've achieved 24 gold records and 14 platinum records that have placed them third behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band. With eight Juno Awards and seven Grammy nominations, they were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994.
