Hot Chip announce 'Freakout/Release' tour
Synthpop group Hot Chip will be embarking on a lengthy North American tour in 2023 supporting their new album 'Freakout/Release'. The 11-city excursion kicks off May 15th in Santa Cruz and runs into June making other U.S. stops in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Denver, Washington, DC and New York. Canadian dates are set for Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. The band spent portions of 2022 touring across America with special guests LA Priest.
Hot Chip released their eighth studio album 'Freakout/Release' on August 19th, 2022 via Domino. The new album reached #16 in the UK and features a guest appearance by Cadence Weapon on the track 'The Evil That Men Do'. Back in 2019, the band launched their A Bath Full of Ecstasy Tour which stretched into 2020 and visited North America and Europe. Since 2006, the UK-based outfit has received 2 Virgin Media Music Awards nominations, 1 Mercury Prize nomination and 1 Music Video Production Award nomination.
