India.Arie announces 'Worthy' tour
R&B songstress India.Arie has announced a major U.S. tour taking place this spring supporting her next album 'Worthy'. The 21-city journey kicks off April 30th in Jacksonville and extends into June making notable stops in Atlanta, Charlotte, New Orleans, Sugar Land, Detroit and New York. This will be the singer's first U.S. run since late 2015 when she visited select markets including Boston, Washington DC, New York, Glenside, Baltimore and Nashville.
Arie will be releasing her seventh studio album 'Worthy' on February 15th, 2019. Her previous 2015 collaboration album 'Christmas with Friends' (with Joe Sample) reached #28 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and features guest appearances by Tori Kelly, Brandy, Kem, Michael McDonald, Dave Koz, Trombone Shorty and Kirk Whalum among others. Since 2001, the singer-songwriter has received numerous accolades including 4 Grammy Awards, 4 NAACP Image Awards and 2 BET Awards.
