Steve Hackett announces 'Foxtrot' anniversary tour

English guitarist Steve Hackett has announced a major North American tour later in 2023 celebrating the 50th anniversary of Genesis' classic album 'Foxtrot'. His Genesis Revisited, Foxtrot At 50 tour kicks off October 3rd in Montreal and extends into November making notable stops in Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The new outing follows up 2019's Genesis Revisited Tour which stretched into 2022 and featured performances of the band's 1977 live album 'Seconds Out'.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended into 2024 visiting Mobile, Memphis, Nashville, Kalamazoo, Minneapolis, Madison, Peoria, Chesterfield, Kansas City, Dallas, Austin and Stafford.

Genesis' 1972 album 'Foxtrot' was certified Gold in the UK and includes their longest recorded song 'Supper's Ready'. The band's second live album 'Seconds Out' was their last to feature Hackett and was recorded at the Palais des Sports in Paris during their Wind & Wuthering Tour along with other members Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford. The musician was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2010 as a member of Genesis.
