Frank Zappa hologram tour announced

Coming up this spring, The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa hologram tour will be visiting multiple stages across America joined by former Zappa bandmates. The brief 9-date jaunt kicks off April 19th in Port Chester and continues into May making additional stops in Rochester, Red Bank, Huntington, Boston, Albany, Wilkes Barre, Collingswood and Baltimore. Later in May, the same tour heads over to Europe for another 7 performances.

The accompanying band will include Ray White, Mike Keneally, Scott Thunes, Ed Mann, Robert Martin and Joe "Vaultmeister" Travers along with special guests Steve Vai, Vinnie Colaiuta, Warren Cuccurullo, Ian Underwood and Napoleon Murphy Brock. The hologram production was taken from “hours of never-before-seen Zappa performance footage” shot in 1974 after his rehearsal space was converted into a sound stage for recording a full-length performance.
