The Mountain Goats announce U.S. tour dates

John Darnielle's The Mountain Goats have announced a massive 2023 tour across America supporting their brand new album 'Bleed Out'. The 30-city excursion kicks off February 8th in Winston Salem and stretches into April making notable stops in Virginia Beach, Rochester, Lexington, Nashville, Omaha, Detroit, Toronto and Philadelphia. Joining the tour on select dates will be special guest Lilly Hiatt.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended through the remainder of the year and into 2024 visiting cities like Solana Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Spokane, Boise, Bozeman, Boulder, Englewood, Little Rock, Columbia, El paso, Roswell, Las Vegas and Flagstaff.

The Mountain Goats released their 21st studio album 'Bleed Out' on August 19th, 2022 via Merge Records. The new album follows up 2021's 'Dark in Here' and 2020's 'Getting Into Knives' which tied a career-best #4 on Billboard's Folk chart. The following year, the band launched a huge U.S. tour with support from Sweeping Promises, Pool Kids, Garcia Peoples, Abby Hamilton, Will Sheff and Cardioid. Back in 2019, their Grotto of the Basilisk Tour was joined by Shana Cleveland and their Chamber of the Wyvern Tour was joined by Lydia Loveless.
