Dermot Kennedy announces 'The Weight of the Woods' tour

Irish songsmith Dermot Kennedy has announced a major North American tour later in 2026 promoting his new album 'The Weight of the Woods'. The 32-date trek takes place in September/October visiting U.S. cities like Chicago, Washington, DC, Forest Hills, Tampa, Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Canadian shows are planned for Toronto, Laval and Vancouver. Joining the tour on select dates will be special guests Jonah Kagen and Hunter Metts.

Kennedy released his third studio album 'The Weight of the Woods' on March 27th, 2026 via Interscope and Island Records. His previous 2022 studio album 'Sonder' reached #74 on the Billboard 200 and includes the single 'Better Days' which was certified Gold by the RIAA. The following year, the Dublin-based musician launched his Sonder Tour along with support from Kevin Garrett, Mehro and Sasha Alex Sloan. Back in 2025, his A Promised Return: Special Intimate Tour was joined by Haffway.
