Sparks announce North American tour
Coming up in 2023, Sparks will be embarking on a lengthy world tour to support their next album 'The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte'. The North American portion of the tour takes place in June/July making stops in New York, Glenside, Washington DC, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Boulder, Dallas, Austin and their hometown of Los Angeles. Prior to the North American shows, the tour will be heading over to Europe for additional performances.
Sparks will be releasing their 25th studio album 'The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte' on May 26th, 2023 via Island Records. The new album follows up 2020's 'A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip' which reached #75 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart. The following year, siblings Ron Mael and Russell Mael released their rock opera film 'Annette' which received numerous accolades including 5 César Awards and 2 Lumières Awards. Their 2022 documentary 'The Sparks Brothers' features guest appearances by Beck, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Thurston Moore, Björk, Jack Antonoff, Todd Rundgren, Giorgio Moroder, Neil Gaiman, Mike Myers, Fred Armisen, Scott Aukerman and Patton Oswalt.
