David Byrne announces 'Who Is the Sky?' tour

Talking Heads founder David Byrne has announced a late 2025 tour across North America promoting his next solo album 'Who Is the Sky?' The 43-date trek kicks off September 14th in Providence and continues into December visiting tons of big cities including Washington DC, New York, Toronto, Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta. Then in 2026, the same tour heads over to Europe for a long list of additional performances.

David will be releasing his ninth solo album 'Who Is the Sky?' (with Ghost Train Orchestra) on September 5th, 2025 via Matador Records. The new album follows up 2018's 'American Utopia' which reached a career-best #3 on the Billboard 200. The same year, the singer-songwriter brought his American Utopia Tour to North America along with support from tUnE-yArDs, Ibeyi, Benjamin Clementine, Laura Mvula and Perfume Genius. Back in 2002, David was inducted into the Rock Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Talking Heads.
