Drive-By Truckers announce 'Southern Rock Opera' tour

Southern rockers Drive-By Truckers have announced an epic 2024 tour across North America performing their classic album 'Southern Rock Opera' along with fan favorites. The 39-date outing kicks off July 7th in Indianapolis and continues through November visiting additional markets like Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta. The band recently spent portions of 2023 hitting the road along with special guests Margo Cilker, Lydia Loveless, Hayride, Model Citizen, Wednesday, Camp Amped and Mercyland.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended into 2025 making stops in Lexington, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Port Chester, Portland, Norwalk, Ardmore, Charlottesville and Athens.

Drive-By Truckers released their third studio album 'Southern Rock Opera' on September 12th, 2001 via their own Soul Dump Records label. Their latest 2022 album 'Welcome 2 Club XIII' follows up 2020's 'The New OK' and 'The Unraveling'; the latter tied a career-best #4 on Billboard's Rock chart. Back in 2018, the band launched a huge U.S. tour with support from T. Hardy Morris and Lilly Hiatt. The 5-piece group formed in 1996 and currently consists of members Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, Brad Morgan, Jay Gonzalez and Matt Patton.
