Sigur Ros announce North American tour

Icelandic outfit Sigur Rós will be heading back to North America in 2023 alongside Wordless Music featuring a 41-piece orchestra. The brief tour takes place in August making stops in Toronto, New York, Brooklyn, Boston, Minneapolis, Seattle, Berkeley and Los Angeles. The band recently wrapped up a major North American tour in 2022 while reuniting with keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson.

Back in 2017, Sigur Rós brought their extensive world tour to North America in addition to Australia, Asia, Europe and South America. Their latest 2013 album 'Kveikur' reached #14 on the Billboard 200 and was their first since 1997's 'Von' not to feature Sveinsson. One of the band's most successful albums '( )' was certified Gold in the UK and was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the Grammy Awards. Aside from Sveinsson, the group still consists of original members Jónsi and Georg Holm.
