Sufjan Stevens Plans Extensive North American Tour in 2015

Singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens has announced an extensive North American tour in support of his upcoming album 'Carrie & Lowell'. The two-month long tour will kick off April 10th in Philadelphia and visit most major U.S. markets including NYC, Chicago, DC, Boston, Dallas, LA and others plus a show in his hometown of Detroit on April 27th. The indie folk musician hasn't toured since his 24-date U.S. trek in 2012, dubbed 'The Sirfjam Stephanapolous Christmas Sing-A-Long Seasonal Affective Disorder Spectacular Music Pageant Variety Show Disaster'.

Sufjan Stevens will release his new album 'Carrie & Lowell' on March 31, 2015. The album will be his first since his 2012 Christmas album 'Silver & Gold' and 2010's 'The Age of Adz', which reached #7 on the Billboard 200. The new album is being billed as a return to Stevens' "folk roots" and features a cover with a photograph of Stevens' mother and stepfather.
