Yusuf Islam announces "A Cat's Attic" tour
Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, has announced a North American tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first hit single 'I Love My Dog'. The 12-date trek kicks off September 12th in Toronto and continues into October visiting Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Nashville, Chicago, San Francisco and Lost Angeles. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to UNICEF and the International Rescue Committee to help children affected by the ongoing refugee crisis.
The British singer-songwriter released his latest album 'Tell 'Em I'm Gone' on October 27th, 2014 via Legacy Recordings. The album charted at #24 on the Billboard 200 and was supported by his Peace Train...Late Again Tour in late 2014. Originally known as Cat Stevens, he converted to Yusuf Islam back in 1977 and is best known for his popular singles like 'Moonshadow', 'Peace Train', 'Father and Son', and 'Morning Has Broke' along with many others.
