Juan Gabriel dead at 66

After an illustrious music career and life, Juan Gabriel died in Santa Monica, California on Sunday August 28th, 2016. The Latin American music legend died of natural causes according to Los Angeles County Coroner spokeswoman Selena Barros.

Latin pop superstar Juan Gabriel has announced an extensive 22-date tour across America beginning later this summer. His MéXXIco Es Todo tour kicks off August 19th in San Diego and stretches into early December visiting big cities like Las Vegas, Dallas, Miami, Brooklyn, Phoenix and Atlanta. The tour will be joined by an 80-piece ensemble including 50 Mariachi and orchestral musicians, 10 singers, and 20 dancers. By the way, the tour's title translates as "Mexico is Everything".

Juan Gabriel recently embarked on his Tour Juntos (Together Tour) which visited Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia before heading to America in early 2015. He was accompanied by over 40 performers including musicians, choirs, dancers and a mariachi band. As one of Mexico's most successful vocalists, Gabriel is a six time Grammy nominee and has sold over 30 million album copies worldwide.
