Rufus Wainwright announces 'Going to a Town Tour'

Grammy-nominated songwriter Rufus Wainwright has announced a solo 2025 tour across America supporting his most recent album 'Folkocracy'. His Going to a Town Tour takes place in March/April making noteworthy stops in Tarrytown, Norwalk, Alexandria, Pittsburgh and Chicago. The Canadian-American artist recently wrapped up his Folkocracy Tour earlier this year which originally launched in 2023.

Wainwright released his 9th studio album 'Folkocracy' on June 2nd, 2023 via BMG Rights Management. The new album reached #63 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart and features guest appearances by Madison Cunningham, John Legend, Susanna Hoffs, Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Andrew Bird, Anohni, David Byrne, Nicole Scherzinger, Van Dyke Parks and Chaka Khan as well as his sisters Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche. Two years prior, the singer launched his Unfollow The Rules Tour which stretched into 2022 and was joined by special guest José González. Back in 2018, his All These Poses Anniversary Tour was joined by Rachel Eckroth.
