The Decemberists announce 'A Peaceable Kingdom Tour'

Indie rockers The Decemberists have announced a massive North American tour in 2024 coinciding with their new single 'Burial Ground' (featuring James Mercer). A Peaceable Kingdom Tour kicks off April 30th in Kingston and runs into August visiting U.S. cities like Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles. Canadian shows are planned for Toronto and Vancouver. Joining the tour in support will be special guests Ratboys. The new outing follows up 2022's Arise From The Bunkers! tour and 2021's 20th anniversary tour which was joined by Fruit Bats.

The Decemberists' previous studio album 'I’ll Be Your Girl' was released on March 16th, 2018 via Capitol Records and Rough Trade. The album reached #9 on the Billboard 200 and includes the track 'Once in My Life' which was co-written by Yo La Tengo members Georgia Hubley and Ira Kaplan. The same year, the band launched their Your Girl / Your Ghost Tour across America along with support from M. Ward and Whitney. The prior year, their The Shuffling Off to Ragnarök tour was joined by Julien Baker.
