Violent Femmes announce anniversary tour

Seasoned folk outfit Violent Femmes will be embarking on a spring 2024 tour across North America celebrating the 41st anniversary of their debut album and the 40th anniversary of 'Hallowed Ground'. The 14-date outing takes place in May invading U.S. cities like San Francisco, Peoria, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Detroit. Canadian shows are planned for Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. The band recently wrapped up another U.S. tour in 2023 along with support from Jesse Ahern.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended further into the year making additional stops in Columbus, Seattle, La Fayette, Orlando, Charleston, Raleigh, Louisville, Atlanta and Birmingham.

Violent Femmes' debut 1983 self-titled album was certified Platinum by the RIAA and includes the popular single 'Gone Daddy Gone'. Their latest 2019 album 'Hotel Last Resort' reached #29 on Billboard's Independent chart and features guest appearances by Stefan Janoski and Tom Verlaine. The same year, the band teamed up with X and Ben Folds for two separate co-headlining tours across America. Back in 2021, they hit the road with Flogging Molly and special guests Me First And The Gimme Gimmes and Thick.
