Yanni announces 'Acropolis' 25th anniversary tour

Platinum-selling composer Yanni has announced a monumental 2018 tour across North America celebrating the 25th anniversary of his album 'Live at the Acropolis'. The 56-city excursion kicks off April 23rd in Melbourne and runs into August visiting U.S. markets like Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston. Canadian dates are set for Windsor, Toronto and Montreal. The new tour follows up 2017's An Evening With Yanni concert series which was a continuation of 2016's outing.

UPDATE: Later in 2019, the musician will be bringing his PURE YANNI - Piano and Intimate Conversation tour to select U.S. markets. The brief 9-city outing takes place in October and December visiting Tucson, Glendale, Cerritos, Las Vegas, Cleveland, Joliet, Hammond, Pittsburgh and Delray Beach.

Yanni released his debut live album 'Live at the Acropolis' on March 1st, 1994 via Private Music. The album reached a career-best #5 on the Billboard 200 and has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. Aside from the Acropolis, Yanni has performed in a number of other historic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Taj Mahal, the Forbidden City, the Burj Khalifa, the Kremlin, the Castillo San Felipe del Morro and the ancient city of Byblos. The Greek-born musician started playing the piano at age 6 and began his professional career in the late 70's where he was in the rock group Chameleon.
