Eric Clapton announces U.S. tour dates

Legendary musician Eric Clapton has announced a return to the road later in 2023 with his backing band featuring Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory, Sharon White, Chris Stainton and Katie Kissoon. The brief tour takes place in September visiting Pittsburgh, Toronto, St. Louis, Saint Paul and Denver. The guitarist recently spent portions of 2022 touring across America with support from Jimmie Vaughan.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended into 2024 joined by Jimmie Vaughan visiting the California cities of San Diego, Thousand Palms and Los Angeles.

In the past, Clapton has hinted towards retiring from touring due to significant hearing loss and tinnitus which makes it progressively difficult to perform live. Back in 2020, he spent time collaborating with Van Morrison on their joint song 'Stand and Deliver' which donated its profits to the Lockdown Financial Hardship Fund. Since beginning his career in 1962, the iconic singer-songwriter has received a total of 18 Grammy Awards and is often referred to as one of the most influential guitarists of all time.
