Jill Scott announces 'Who Is Jill Scott?' anniversary tour

Legendary singer Jill Scott has announced an extensive U.S. tour in 2023 celebrating the 23rd anniversary of her debut album 'Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1'. The 20-date trek kicks off February 28th in Augusta and stretches into June visiting major markets like Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Detroit, Atlanta, Washington, DC and Los Angeles. Back in early 2020, the same tour was joined by special guest Moonchild.

Miss Scott's debut album 'Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1' was released on July 18th, 2000 and includes the singles 'Love Rain', 'Gettin' In the Way', 'A Long Walk' and 'The Way'. The album was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2001 Grammy Awards and was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA. Her latest 2015 album 'Woman' reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and features an appearance by BJ the Chicago Kid on the track 'Beautiful Love'. Since beginning her career in 1999, the iconic vocalist has won 3 Grammy Awards to go along with multiple Soul Train and Lady of Soul Awards.
