Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers announce 40th anniversary tour

Legendary rockers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have announced a massive 40th anniversary tour across America in 2017. The 35-date trek kicks off April 20th in Oklahoma City and stretches through July hitting cities like Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. The tour concludes with back-to-back shows in Queens in late July. Joining the tour in support will be Joe Walsh for most shows and Chris Stapleton on select dates.

On December 9th, Petty and the Heartbreakers released two new companion box sets featuring all of their studio albums on 180-gram vinyl. The compilation also includes several LPs that have been out of print on vinyl for several years. Their latest album 'Hypnotic Eye' was released on July 29th, 2014 and reached #1 on the Billboard 200. Also in 2014, they embarked on an extensive summer/fall tour joined by Steve Winwood. In 2016, Petty took his early 70's southern rock band Mudcrutch on a U.S. tour supporting their second studio album '2'.
