Van Halen announce North American tour

Legendary rockers Van Halen have announced they will be heading on tour with David Lee Roth this summer and fall across North America. The extensive 39-date tour will kick off July 5th in Seattle and continue into early October making notable stops in major markets like Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, Cleveland, DC, Detroit, Dallas and Los Angeles. Canadian shows will be held in London and Toronto in early August. Joining the band throughout the tour will be Grammy Award-nominated guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd to open.

Van Halen also announced they will be making their first TV appearances with David Lee Roth since he rejoined the band in 2006. The first will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live! airing on March 30th and March 31st followed by Ellen on April 2nd. The band will be releasing their first live album with Roth, 'Tokyo Dome Live in Concert', on March 31st as well as newly remastered versions of their 1978 debut album and their most successful '1984' album. Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 as the 19th-best-selling band/artist in U.S. history with 56 million albums sold.
