Metallica extend 'M72 World Tour'

Heavy metal icons Metallica have announced another run of North American tour dates in 2025 behind their current album '72 Seasons'. Their M72 World Tour gets started again April 19th in Syracuse and continues through June making other stops in Toronto, Nashville, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Tampa, Houston, Santa Clara and Denver. Joining the tour on select dates will be special guests Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Ice Nine Kills and Suicidal Tendencies. The tour originally launched in 2023 and has also been joined by Mammoth WVH and Five Finger Death Punch.

Metallica released their 12th studio album '72 Seasons' on April 14th, 2023 via their own Blackened Recordings vanity label. The new album follows up 2016's 'Hardwired... to Self-Destruct' which reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards. The same year, the band embarked on their WorldWired Tour which stretched into 2019 and was joined by tons of special guests including Cage the Elephant, Babymetal, Lang Lang, Iggy Pop, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, Gojira, Kvelertak, Jim Breuer, Ghost and Slipknot.
