The Doobie Brothers announce 50th anniversary tour

Coming up in 2021, The Doobie Brothers will be reuniting with former frontman Michael McDonald for a massive North American tour celebrating the band's 50th anniversary. The 47-date outing kicks off August 22nd in Des Moines and extends into 2022 making notable stops in Cincinnati, Grand Rapids, Kansas City, Inglewood, Phoenix, Nashville, Wantagh and Toronto. For the first time in 25 years, McDonald will be touring alongside longtime members Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmon and John McFee.

McDonald will continue supporting his ninth studio album 'Wide Open' released on September 15th, 2017 via Chonin Records and BMG. The new album follows up 2008's 'Soul Speak' which charted at #12 on the Billboard 200. The singer has received a total of 5 Grammy Awards as a solo artist and a member of The Doobie Brothers. Additionally, he's collaborated with dozens of artists including Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, David Cassidy, Van Halen, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin and Toto just to name a few.
